  • How much does it cost to join Ohana Wa'a Outrigger Canoe Club?
As we are a non-profit, member run club, we require all members to pay dues. Dues permit the club member use of club-owned canoes, paddles and racing equipment. Annual dues cover insurance, purchase and maintenance of this equipment and other club expenses Dues may vary from year to year and are established by the Board of Directors. Please refer to our Member Forms page for membership pricing. Full dues must be paid to race ANY NCOCA race. Dues are the same whether you race or not. Dues cover the period of the season until March of the next year.
  • Do I need to know how to swim?
Paddling is a water sport. Much of the activity will take place in the Napa River or open ocean. If you are uncomfortable in the water, you may (will) be asked to wear a life vest.
  • Can I try it out before joining the club?
Yes, you can come out and try paddling to see if this is something that you’d be interested in doing. Feel free to email us if you have any questions.
